Sara Beckerman's EdTech Consultant Bio
Sara Beckerman has been the coordinator of the Hebrew Home Page, Jewish Journey Project's online tutoring program since 2013. Sara has previously taught professional development sessions to Hebrew School educators on Long Island in November 2019, spreading the word about Kahoot and other edTech Apps for the Hebrew School classroom.
Armed with specialized training in teaching Judaics with EdTech apps since spring 2018 (Thank you JETS), Sara emerged from the 12 weeks of Quarantine Lockdown teaching overflowing with ideas and techniques after moving her Schechter School of Long Island Rabbinics and Tfillah courses online during Spring 2020.
Sara holds an MA from the Davidson School of Jewish Education at JTS (2004) and has been in Jewish education since 2001, including 13 summers at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires, 16 years at Schechter day schools and 8 years in various Hebrew schools in NJ and Long Island, NY.
Sara is looking forward to working with educators around the country in different settings to up their game as we prepare for September!
